Proverb
Whāia te iti kahurangi
Ki te tūohu koe, me he maunga teitei

Pursue excellence – should you stumble, let it be to a lofty mountain.

This is a well known Maori proverb that originates from the Northern region of New Zealand. It speaks about how we as teachers we should have high expectations of our students and how as students they should pursue high achievement even if they stumble along the way.
